Pro-death?!? If the question were about pro-death or pro-life, of course I'd say I was pro-life. If I were to claim that I was not pro-life, I suppose I would be implying I was pro-death since death is the opposite of life.

But apparently, I live in a society where I am either pro choice or pro life. Now when did choice become the opposite of life? I think I am both. I support choice, and I support life, particularly my own.

The real question seems to be are you pro-choice or anti-choice? Moreover, if you are anti-choice, then why should I offer you the choice to answer this question in the first place?

What seems to me then is that the pro-lifers have found a very good slogan. Clearly they have a good marketing tactic, based on the fact that most everyone supports life as a concept. Do you support life? Its easy to prey on goodhearted Americans who just want to have good lives by misleading them with the wrong question about whether they are for, or against life. Of course most are for life.

So ultimately, in order to have a stand on whether or not we should continue to keep abortion legal, we must ask the right question. As Americans, we are fortunate to live life in a society that gives us the right to make choices. I am pro-choice. I believe in giving women the right to make their own reproductive choices because I have the right to make choices in my own life; the life that I support.

So the correct questions should be is who is the idiot that exercises their right to make choices by voting anti-choice? Who is the politician that is anti-choice? In some countries, they call him a dictator since he is the sole maker of decisions. By giving away the option to make one choice, the road is paved to give up more choices. What comes after you take away reproductive rights? The right to bear arms, the right for free speech, the right to a fair trial, the right to vote, and finally the right to live the life that you support?

The choice is up to you…for now.
